Stage 2: Exhibition at Strange Field, Glasgow, 2026
R&D (Stage 1): Commission for SMHAF, 2024

A multi-media installation bringing together soundscape, personal narrative, ceramics and architecture to give voice to under-represented experiences of pregnancy and m*therhood.

You’re invited to slow down and be guided through an intimate, tangible listening experience.

Invisible M*thers explores stories of m*therhood that aren't often seen, centring genderqueer, single/solo, young and neurodivergent experiences. Through Rebecca and Indra's personal stories, the exhibition holds two very different experiences of pregnancy: one of raising a child, and one of pregnancy loss. Together, they explore how love, grief and care continue to shape what m*therhood can mean.

The exhibition asks, how do we make hidden personal stories of m*therhood visible, whilst also protecting those at the centre of those stories?
